Entry 3: Stress Levels Rising

So a few days ago, I saw a quick post on Facebook from Michael Favelle saying that he was off to another international film market. This is not surprising, in that’s how he plies his trade. I just assumed, in those split second thought processes that you have as you scan info, that he would be reading the scripts en route or something like that.

But then we got this email from Andy:

Hey everyone,

Thank you for your scripts – I can say that personally it has been an absolute joy reading them, and my own excitement level is rising sharply now that I can really see the potential for these films.

Karel has reviewed them all for story and scripting, I have worked up draft budgets for them all, but unfortunately Michael has been called away this week and won’t be able to give the all important commerciality perspective until next Friday.

We had intended to give feedback tomorrow, as well as choosing the one project we wanted to start the pilot accelerator program with.

I’m very sorry to say that we won’t be able to make that decision until Friday 22nd now, and it may be the following Monday before we have feedback for everyone collated.

This will obviously ripple the timeline accordingly, so that the deadline for revisions to scripts will be the end of February now.

I will send an updated timeline along with the feedback on Monday 25th.

Again, I’m really sorry to do this to you all!

Cheers

Andy

Andy’s excitement is rising, but it’s our stress levels I’m thinking about. Double farrrr out.
